Since I photograph several weddings over the course of a year, I get to see so many variations of couple who incorporate pieces of their personalities into their special day. This one really stood out, though, because it was filled with so many thoughtful details. In fact, it was featured on a DIY blog HERE. Mikayla and Dawson’s wedding day started out with a picture-perfect venue: the Agua Linda Farm, located in Amado, Arizona. It’s just stunning, and is a farm that has a truly magical feel for any couples who get married there. It’s comprised of 65 acres of privately-owned land, and offers amazing privacy and plenty of shade for guests (which can be an issue with outdoor venues in the Arizona heat!). The venue is also really spacious, so you don’t have to leave out any loved ones!
One of the cute and clever ideas that Mikayla utilized was the customized table numbers, complete with baby pictures. It was a fun way to incorporate a piece of the past with the excitement of their future. She even thrifted the little frames, and guests loved comparing the photos and seeing all of them. The beautiful bride was also super proud of her photobooth, which they both put many hours into crafting: it took a year and a half to collect all of that ribbon. Additionally, the bride’s family wanted to do the cooking themselves, and it really added such a personal touch to the festivities: there was a beautiful salad, pulled pork and chicken, and other home-made dishes that were truly a labor of love. Lastly, I could never leave out the dress! And what a dress it was; replete with the prettiest lace details and a vintage feel. Mikayla looked beautiful and radiant as she walked down the aisle to her husband.
