This sweet pair may have met by chance, but their love story is something they have intentionally tended to. I can tell in every word, action, and glance, that these two love each other, and want a love that goes the distance…that was why it was such a delight to photograph their big day! Brianna and Batuhan met at a party that Brianna wasn’t even sure she wanted to attend (though I know she is sure glad she did!), and exchanged numbers the next day at another get together on the beach. Pretty soon, they found themselves on an official “first date” at the movies, and they knew they were a great match. “It has been four years together now”, explains Brianna, “We now appreciate each other’s dreams and goals, and supporting one another. We love the happiness, and how we can turn horrible days into better ones.” The two love to go to the beach, explore around Florida, binge-watch Netflix shows, and enjoy the outdoors. Other favorites include snorkeling together, enjoying great food, and taking in the nightlife!
Batuhan asked his bride to marry him on Valentine’s Day, with a romantic proposal at Universal Studios. Brianna remembers that she could see Harry Potter World and the Jurassic Park ride, and although the ring box got a bit tangled in his coat pocket, Batuhan earned himself an excited YES! Both agree that the values they share would be laughter, loyalty, and trust. “The key to a great relationship is compromise”, the two shared, “Also encouragement and support for your spouse, and honest communications. We also know that we are each other’s best friend.” These values really were evident in their beautiful day, which had a romantic and rustic theme. I loved the pops of blush and burgundy that made everything feel elegant and upscale. Their family and friends were joyous and helpful, and I could sense the true care and love that surrounded the couple. The bride’s sweeping dress was handmade in Instanbul, and featured little details that I loved; lace accents and sheer straps. “We chose Marie for our wedding, because she is awesome! I first met her when we worked together, and have seen her flourish and grow as a wedding photographer…I loved the use of light and tone in her pictures, and we felt she suited our vision”, added Brianna. What a happy day, and one that was a true honor to be a part of. I can’t wait to watch these two grow old together.
